Visibility it Key
Show Booths
The key to your success at tradeshows is visibility. You want your booth
to stand out in the sea of exhibit booths in order to attract the
attention of discriminating buyers. You want your booth designed to be a
representative of your company. To do this, chose colors, which are
apart of your overall motif and compliment your logo. You also want your
booth to be welcoming, have chairs available for your potential clients
to rest. Remember, if you make them feel welcome, they will come back.
Tradeshows can be a little overwhelming for both participants and
attendees. There's so much to see and do and so little time to get it
done. Therefore, in order to attract more customers, you have to capture
their attention. After your fair share of tradeshows, you'll quickly
learn what works and what doesn't. Well-lit and colorful booths will
attract more customers. This fact was proven by a company I used to work
for, what started out as a friendly competition provided us with vital
information.
We had a salesperson that was retiring. He'd been training his
replacement for six months and he had total confidence in his student.
When the time came for his last tradeshow, he took his replacement along
with him, and they set up two booths on different rows. Our experienced
salesperson set up an older and rather dull display booth, while his
replacement set up one that was vividly colorful and well lit. The
competition was on. At the end of the show, more people had visited our
colorful booth, but more products were sold at the other booth. This
proved two vital pieces of information to our company: First, your booth
has to be eye-catching. Second, once you lure the people in, you have to
have the ability to sale. Brightly colored booths will not sale products
on their own. You need a confidant and knowledgeable staff.
