Have a Script to Follow
Develop a Script
I have been doing tradeshows for longer than I would like to admit.
Weeks before the show, our advertising department helps us to write down
a sales pitch, which we practice. By the time, my co-workers and I are
boarding the plane we are ready for any question that may be asked. I
tried to wing-it, on my very first tradeshow, and that is a nightmare I
will never relive. Every staff member who attends the seminar, every
person manning the booth, and walking the floor know the sales pitch and
can answer any question with confidence. We are ambassadors of our
company, and because of that, if we present ourselves as unprepared,
then our prospective customers will perceive our company as unprepared
and unorganized.
